You poor sweetie, you can't fault him for letting you go, he IS married. But you deserve better. Let life happen, enjoy your kids, and maybe romance will jump your bones some day in the future. Firm long hug and a playful slap on your butt.
Thank you, i appreciate your kind words, and really don't feel like i deserve them. But you are right, i can't fault him for doing the right thing, it just hurts horribly.
Thats a really sweet story..how romantic..but did you REALLY think that this reunion was going to last forever? We all like to sit back and remember how sweet and in love we were at 16 or 17 years old. I still do from time to time. We probably have those thoughts because we aren't really happy with where we are in our lives RIGHT NOW. The best thing to do is decide FOR SURE what you are going to do about your marriage. If things are really as bad as you say they are, then you need to leave your Husband. Its not fair to him or YOUR CHILDREN, for you to be longing for another man, when your life is already so crazy. If you want him THAT bad, find out where you stand with him, and go get him. The main thing is that you have to keep in mind, there are children, emotions and marriages involved in this. You have to set an example for your daughters also. Be the kind of woman that you want them to be.
honestly, i guess i didn't "think", i'm still not thinking rationally, my heart tries to trick me into believing things could be "something", but yeah, i guess in the back of my wee little brain, i knew this couldn't really happen, that it wouldn't work out, but there was this connection that was really this friendship, and felt more than just physical attraction, it was some kind of bond, that's always been there... i'm blabbering, i'm sorry... see i'm trying to talk myself into believing "nothing" yet again...what an idiot i am..
You are not an idiot..YOU ARE HUMAN. But unfortunately we as humans, don't always do the right things or have the right answers. You just have to decide what you want to do. If you think the other man is worth it..thenstep up and see where it goes. If you think he may just be playing games with you, maybe he his. What does your heart say? Your heart wont lie. Maybe this other man is feeling the same way that you are..so one of you has to say something. There are marriages and children involved. But you have to make yourself happy before anyone else. I know the confusion you are going through..I have been here myself..only I really did love my husband and wanted our marriage to work..but there was this other man that just make my toes curl. Something will happen that will show you the choice you need to make. I don't know if its going to be good or bad, but it will happen, and you will know where you need to be.
It seems rather foolish of you to have had three children with a man whom you have little in common with.
You might try couples counseling if you still feel anything for him at all.
Never the less, I think you should get a divorce.
You really are unhappy in your marriage - regardless of this high school sweetheart who doesn't take you seriously.
After you divorce you should find the old boy friend and fuck his brains out.
Then, just maybe, he'll feel that you are worth it, but don't let that stop you from living a new life.
You gave your marriage a good try.
It will be hard on the children, especially the boy, but life can be tough sometimes.
thanks for your honest advice...
Let go of both of them. This world is filled with people (1/2) of them are men. There are many people to meet and things to see, so stop with the self pity and get on with making yourself happier.
Just an update.. I filed with divorce.. and i'm letting the other man go.. i'm letting them both go. I know i'm worth more than either of them think obviously.. Thanks friends, for your advice..
