Well, kiddo...I am assuming that you are under 18 or a young adult. Don't take that as me insulting you. I am 29 years old and grew up with a very unstable father that was an alcholholic and had bad anger problems. As I grew into a teenager I was beaten by him (once so bad he broke blood vessles in my right eye.) I ran away when I was 15 to be dragged back by the police and told to straighten it out or be put in a home for run aways. My father never hit me again but had threatened to and also fought violently with my mother and sister. Now that I am moved out and on m own things have changed. I don't hate him so much, more like pitty. It is a shame that some people live with such anger. Try to work through it, you don't have to forget what ever your father has done to you but for your own sanity forgive and then you can move on. That doesn't mean you have to have your father in your Hope I helped.
