My wife has a lot of stomach problems, plus the insulin she takes gives her nasty gas.
When we're at the stores, she passes gas because her stomach hurts so bad.
I try to be sympathetic, but I get the looks from others when they smell it.
One big guy threatened to beat my ass for being rude and "shitting my pants in public."
What should I do?

How old is your wife? If she has a bit of a stomach, you could always say she's pregnant. That happens to pregnant women too. I think people might be more sympathetic then. Get her in on it and then people won't be as rude.

How about limiting your shopping in the "stores" to necessities? Keep in the open spaces where your gasseous emmisions have an opportunity to dissapate before they become offensive. Why do people have this deep-seated need to inflict the results of their various infirmities on the general public? It is at the point where going to a movie theater is a clear act of masochism; a visit to a restaurant can be nauseating - society is becoming a corral.

Just do what they do to the old people. Just leave her in the car.

"Why do people have this deep-seated need to inflict the results of their various infirmities on the general public?" In this situation, it's not her fault. The woman has a problem for goodness sake. I am curious however the age of this couple.

"<I>in this situation, it's not her fault</I>" <P>As a matter of fact, it is her <I>fault</I>.</P> She, and apparently some members of her family <I>are aware of her - problems.</I> Again I ask - why do people feel they are some how entitled to inflict their infirmities on strangers? Our society is becoming a corral because we are expected not only to be tolerant, but because we are also expected to <I>celebrate</I> every personal weakness and failing that presents itself. There is a big difference between being tolerant in a doctor's waiting room and waiting in a checkout line at a grocery store....

You are an ASS! I know you are that stupid sarcastic jerk that keeps leaving messages in "set up at work" furom. I should not even take you on. Why don't you stop being the judge of the world and grow the FUCK up. People are not perfect. The Woman has a damn health problem. Why don't you stop being so damn foolish and open up your narrow mind, be more sympathetic and stop being so fucking SELF RIGHTEOUS!!. You have major chips on your shoulder. You should Thank GOD for your "perfect" life and health you moron.
I hope this woman's husband keeps the faith and try to stick by his wife and understand. We never know what lies ahead down the road for us all.

Look junior - this gassy woman has a problem - she needs to be aware that people don't want to share her problem with her. You appear, from your post, to have some kind of psychological problems of your own. The more you post the more obvious it becomes.

Has she tried taking activated charcoal capsules or tablets?
This should help get rid of the gas. Check with your pharmacist.
