i believe he was making a reference to the russian/german way of spelling america. quite good if you ask me...definatly represents the USSA (thats United Soviet States of America for those who can't put two and two together)

USSA, or the united soviet states of america, is a joke that many people make when referring to this country. People often use it to allude to the suppression of human rights our current government has delt us, much like the USSR when it was still in power.

Hmm...I am starting to wonder about that, I wonder if I don't agree somewhat. It's supposed to be a free country.
I understand it's really a free enterprise country, and that's where the "free" part ends.
You can't say what you want, or even think what you want.
A dumb association might be South Park trying to do a parody of Scientology.
I have to always keep myself in check for fear of "offending" someone....such as...
Can't wear fur..PETA....
Can't say Indian or Native american, must be "native people"(just ask them)
Some people won't even say BLACK never mind negro or nigger
Can't say there is no GOD, people tell you your'e going to hell.
Can't pray in school either or make reference..the aithiests complain.
Can't say "Christmas" without saying Kwanzaa.
You are not allowed to be proud of your own race and heritaige if it's Western European..unless you embrace all non-european cultures.
It's OKAY for blacks to say that they only want to marry other blacks...and keep thier culture "pure" but anglo saxons are considered "racist or "skinheads" if they feel the same way.
I am obviously not a sociologist..but If all races love and accept eachother unconditionally, intermarry , blend religions...we will be no different than a giant termite mound.Diversity is good! But..I am happy living in a 98% white community where we all have the same values and outlook on life.
My oldest son is HORRIFIED at some of the kids that have moved here from Mexico and other places. He said thay talk back to the teachers..dress funny and are just generally out of place.
If a kid from Mexico came to our neighborhood and was a nice kid and a smart kid who wasn't a troublemaker, I would accept him in a second!
It's those lower class immigrants that scare me. They have a different culture and different values.
They scare me..and scare my kids. I guess I might leave 386 years of my family being in this state, and go to Vermont..where the influx is EXTREMELY low.

You know, at first i thought you were quite insightful for acknowledging the fact that our country, is in fact, not as free as we'd like to think it is. But then you made that last statement about being afraid of the hispanics moving into your neighborhood. I have to wonder what you would do if a new family of Germans moved in that allowed their 12 year old children to drink wine with every meal, spoke with a "forign accent", and dressed in the current western european styles, which are quite tasteful compared to the trash we are forced to wear. You know, i think that you, the last poster, are the definition of whats wrong with American society...they're all afraid of change. But change is progression...tradition is destruction...embrace the change...learn a new language, study a different culture...infact, if you have the chance, study abroad! Its a great learning experiance. But i can't say it enough...accept the change, its gonna happen whether you like it or not.

Yes, I suppose you are right about the change, I am very comfortable and admit that I am afraid of it.
As for the Germans,in fact,I was engaged in my youth to a german whose family did drink beer at almost all meals. At first I was confused until I learned why. It was natural to carry thier own traditions where they now hung thier hats.
I have no problem with any culture of people as a whole, but the sub-cultures within certain cultures that I do not like.
Would you let your daughter date a chain wearing , rap listening, gun toting fool of any sub-culture? Not unless you were one yourself and knew no other way of life.
I know very differently and remember when the worst thing we read in the town paper was there was a drunken fist fight at a downtown bar on a saturday night.
I remember when Roxbury, ma. was an all Jewish community. It was nice then. I remember when the noth end of Boston were Italians and the South end were Irish.
The only thing you ever heard in the paper then was maybe a street fight or an occasional robbery. You didn't have these driveby shootings you do now.
What happened to the good old Italian and Irish gangs that just punched eachother out once in a while.
Yes, change happens..but I suppose I long for the good old days. Not always as good, but not as scary.

THe "USA" Is crass. Most of the culture of Europea is Crass, by asssociation. The growth of asia will continue to suck the breath of availabilty dry. It will suck the planet dry, and most of us will see our children die because of crass commercial culture. KILL IT NOW!!!!! BUY NOTHING!!!!

No...This country was taken by the Europeans on the basis of commercialism/trade and my family has been here for 386 years in the same state in this union.
