Two months ago, I slept with an old friend. My husband and I have been having marital problems for a long time. The last year or so, the tension has cause my husband to ejaculate too quickly or not be able to keep an erection up. We basically stopped having sex. At a vulnerable moment, I had sex with my friend.
I felt guilty and told my friend that I couldn't see him any longer. I started writing in my journal about what happened and my feelings. Last week, I came home and found my journal in a different place than I originally left it. I suspect my husband read it. However, he isn't saying anything. But he did start sleeping on the couch.

What should I do?

i think you should ask if he read it, and if he did just tell him you need to talk to him and mention the maritial problems

Didn't you learn anything from what happened to Nixon...don't record shit, don't write shit, get rid of the evidence before the evidence gets rid of you.

I can't believe you "wrote it in your journal". If you are stupid enough to do that, then you deserve to get caught.

Maybe your husband read the journal and he's out getting some pussy... or an STD.

The more of these journals I read, the more I find that the majority of my sex are moronic assholes. I would like to be able to apologize for all the males of this species, but I think it would be rather meaningless.

You really need to talk to your husband about what happened and about your sex life. Quite simpley, I can't offer much more than what you probably know already: don't use "blame words," ect. Suggest viagra, to spice up your love life and try something new. I know how sex can sometimes become routine. Allocate an evening just for the two of you. Go out and have a good time and take some time in the evening before intercourse for foreplay. Good luck.
