I hope you don't kill yourself. You shouldn't let those 3 inconsiderate assholes (excuse my language) ruin your life. I know it must be hard but you should use this unfortunate experience as motivation. For example maybe you can become a cop or a crime solver to catch criminals and get your revenge. Im sure that will make you feel better. Who knows maybe you'll catch those 3 shit stains who ruined a part of your life but don't let it ruin the REST of your life. You need to stay strong & don't do drugs or alchohol they only make your life worse. They may take your mind away from things for the moment, but your only turning to them because your not keeping busy. Really, apply to be a cop or something. Save yourself. I'd be proud of you if you get back up on your feet and im sure your family would be to. Don't think of the future as pain. Think about getting your life back.
Forget church.
Keep taking drugs, the end will come.
Very good advice, for once here.
I know things seem bad and you've been out of it for so long that it seems an impossibly long climb to get out of the hole you're in, but you can do it.
At the risk of seeming insensitive, I think you're not as badly off as you believe.
You kicked that drugs - that's a major victory, bub.
You still have your health.
Your mother is still in your corner.
Your wife has moved out, but she doesn't sound as though she's in any better shape than you are.
You might be able to live together again eventually.
You didn't run over someone in your car, embezzle money, or have sex with someone you shouldn't have while under the influence.
I don't think any old church will be the best thing for you - although it wouldn't hurt.
You need a pastor with psychological training and a support group under his guidance.
You sound isolated at this point and you could use a group of persons who had serious problems but who've turned the corner.
Their stories and their strategies for pulling themselves out of their individual nose dives would be very good for you to hear.
My sincerest good luck with your situation.
ever heard of post traumatic stress disorder? lots of ppl feel the kind of anxiety you describe after a major traumatic incident, your not alone.
