Marrying My Cousin
I married my lesbian cousin twenty five years ago. It was arranged, marry, take her away.
See, she was seventeen, I was twenty seven, just finished my doctoral program. She had this girlfriend my family hated. This girlfriend was twenty three at the time, she had been dishonorably discharged from the NAVY, for being caught in a lesbian situation with a young recruit. She landed hard, got involved with my cousin, and things went down hill from there. I was recruited to take her away from the influence of that girl.
We were married in a family ceremony, and she was on a plane with me the following morning.
She finished high school with me, went on to college and graduated. Only after college did I enforce the marriage.
She had surrendered to her fate by then, and she allowed herself to have children. We have lived together for twenty five years. From time to time she gets these lesbian feelings. That girl, the Navy woman, died in a car wreck a couple of years after my cousin left with me. I never told her. In those days there wasn't social media, and once married she had moved on from her.
