Today in the United Kingdom we stand to order with heads bowed in the memory of 9/11. We will continue to teach our children the poison of terorism and the murderous acts committed in the name of islam.

It's because of morons like the last poster that I didn't post something in regard to 9/11. Get over it? What a horrible thing to write. I'd tell you what an asshole you are for writing that, but you probably already know it - and you just write garbage to evoke a negative response (typical of your kind).

Too bad it wasn't someone you knew and loved that was murdered on 9/11, maybe you wouldn't be so quick to write "get over it". We will never forget the 2,973 innocent victims, or the 343 brave firefighters that risked it all. It's hard to think that they would risk their lives to save your sorry ass.

To the UK poster, thank you. It's a hard day for most of us here. I live a few hours from New York City. I've been there to see with my own eyes what happened. It's hard to find the words to express how it felt in those weeks and months after. It's still hard. You would have to have a heart of stone to write "get over it" -

Forever In Our Hearts 09/11/01

I knew somebody would reply to my reply.

It's true, life goes on. Your life doesn't stop because of the unfortunate thing that happened in New York. If there is a God, blame him.

Automatically you think that I don't care. I did care very much when it happened. Five years have gone by and the people are still not with us. I still say GET OVER IT.

As for the fire fighters, it is their job.

Call me what you want, I don't care. That's my opinion.

You mean there are no perverts in the United Kingdom? I find that hard to believe.

Hi there.
I am the original poster and do not share the same get over it attitude as you do. Life goes on I do agree but we shouid NEVER forget what happened on that horrible day. The further events such as that are pushed to the back of our minds the easier it will be to pave the way for further despicable and murderous acts.
Stay vigilant and teach your children to beware of the Satanic verses. (Salman Rushdie 1988) A curse on humanity which distorts the vision.

Yes we have more than our fair share of perverts here in the UK and that is just one reason why we say NEVER FORGET!

Why are there so many in the US prepared to knock those in the UK.Is it because we care what happens to others. It is a British tradition!

Well I was the one who posted SHAME in this section and just take a look at the response that I got!

You are wrong - there aren't "so many who want to knock..." only a handful of horrible, disturbed individuals that are just rotten to the core. Never in my life have I felt anything but a kindred spirit between the USA and the UK. There are just people that just seem to hate everybody, regardless of their place of origin, race, creed, etc.

Some peole were just born with a cold heart. Like the idiot with his big opinion that it's the "firefighters job" to die for the likes of him. How sad. I would bet that as a child, he was the one that would pull the wings off a butterfly. I thank God that I don't have to deal with the likes of this creep on a daily basis, only thogh his twisted ramblings here.

Keep the spirit alive, my UK friend! Thanks for your support!

I am not a creep. I wouldn't hurt a fly.

Why do people want to remember and CELEBRATE the rememberance of 911. (KEYWORD: CELEBRATE)

Like everybody else, I was saddened by 911, but like I said it was 5 years ago AND LIFE GOES ON.

So go about your business and wait until 9/11/2007 and celebrate some more.

Where or when was the word CELEBRATE ever used in reference to the anniversay of 9/11? And why is everyone on this topic so angry at each other? How can we understand how others are feeling when there is all this mud slinging? Have some respect for the subject and for each other.

<I>"why is everyone on this topic so angry at each other?"</I>

I don't pick up up on any particular anger except for the self-righteous schmucks who want to be congratulated on their proclivity to a wave a bloody shirt forever and anon.

To the self-absorbed American chauvanists and their Brit sob-sister counterparts - get over yourselves. A tiny group of religious lunatics - EQUALLY convinced of the unerring veracity of their convictions - got in an incredibly (and suspiciously) lucky suckerpunch of horrendous magnitude.

The initial American and coalition response in Afghanistan was only partially effective, with the main actors escaping - time and time again. Now the Taliban are creeping back. How this got twisted around into a neverending "war on terrorism" - and given equivalence with the war in Iraq - is anyone's guess, and with the American liar-in-chief continuing to be enabled to define the arguement with each changing season, no one alive will have the slightest clue what a "victory" will look like.

Yes, let's remember the dead.

R.I.P.

But don't get sucked into the neo Vietnam/Orwellian never-ending war scenario. You don't kill mosquitoes with cruise missiles and Abrams tanks.

On the internet. It says, To the heroes of 911, let's make 9-11 a day of rememberance and CELEBRATION.
