From Berkeley To Heterosexuality: A Question For The LGBTQ+ Community

I guess I am asking a question of other lesbians or bisexual women. I am 31, I went to college at UC Berkley, both for an undergrad and for grad school. During the time I was there I had three girlfriends, nothing spectacular. After I graduated I met and fell into a very deep relationship with a woman Child Psychologist. I suppose sex is always the first step, deep feelings followed later.

After six years she confessed to me that she had been seeing a man for a while and she was going to live with him. We had a very emotional goodbye, she couldn't explain it and neither could I. I left California and returned home with my parents. My mother's group of friends included a divorced man, an Architect. He pursued me and at a given point I decided to let him get what he wanted, I wanted to find out what it was like, maybe so I could understand what had happened with my girlfriend.

I want to say that I went along but really I just gave in. Weeks became months, months became a year and I was his girlfriend to everyone in town, frowned upon because of the difference in age, but his girlfriend in everyone's eyes but mine. He asked me to marry him, I didn't answer and hurt his feelings. I apologized and agreed to marry him. I am now married and I am expecting for August.

My girlfriend in California is happy for me, happy I found a man for me. She swears that once that man comes along the spell is broken and you follow your true heart. I don't know, I am not unhappy being married, I am expecting. I miss my girlfriend, I miss her terribly. We talk often, we aren't looking for a sexual life together, but we need to be attached to one another.

My question is how common is it for lesbians to have the spell broken and move over to a heterosexual life?

It's often as it happened to me as well. I was honest and told my husband that I still needed a woman on occasion. He was fine with it surprisingly. We worked together to find a friend for me who respected our marriage but also fit the dynamic I needed. She is single, a very busy professional, no time for marriage or kids whatsoever. She carved out a bit of time for me here and there. Sometimes just with me, sometimes my husband is involved. I have many fetishes so this is ideal for me.

Although I am married to my husband, Cathy and I wear a matching ring on our left thumbs and have a matching toe ring and ankle bracelet. It's been ten years and there are no issues. I'm emotionally and sexually satisfied by both of them. They realize that I am central to this whole dynamic and over time they have begun to care deeply for one another as well. Should anything ever happen to one of us, the other two will be fine.

It's not a spell , I have been bouncing back and forth between men and women since I was in high school. I'm 33 now , I think that it is just my preference at the moment. Sometimes I want to be with a man or men. Sometimes I want to be with a woman or women. No rhyme or reason.

You never said if you are sexually attracted to or aroused by any man let alone your husband.

If you have never felt any sexual arousal from a man, it may never happen.
