Twenty years ago I married a man as a favor. During that marriage I had one incident with him which resulted in a pregnancy. This child is now 19 and she is adamant on finding her father. I have refused to help, he is unaware of her, he is a past event, not part of my life or hers.

Opening that can of worms can only lead to her misery and disappointment, and hurt me.
