My biological mother was a drug addict, she died of an overdose when I was two. I was first in a foster home and then adopted by my foster parents when I was three. I have no memories except living with my parents. When I went to college, close to home a girl I met there convinced me to find my mother's family (I knew she was dead). And try to find my biological father.

My biological mother's family are low life rednecks from Kentucky, my biological father is in jail. I also found out that my biological mother was a prostitute with a record. Coming from an upper middle class upbringing, my parents are both doctors, and I have four sisters, I am the baby and I am sick knowing what I know now. Knowing about, and sneaking out of college to meet my mother's family was the worst day of my life. I can't believe I am one of them.

To make matters worse I am being pressured by my biological grandmother for money, she says I owe her because she paid for me when I was borne. Second worse is I saw pictures of my biological mother and I can't get them out of my mind. I favor her.

I want my life back, when I didn't know about them.

OH NO!

I am SO sorry to hear that!

Maybe try a shrink to hypnotize you?

There are things ALL of us wish we could forget and it sucks.

Blood does not equal family. Start looking at all of the positive things you have in life. A real family, love, education, etc. Dont dwell on something that YOU had no control over. Your life is good. enjoy it! Stop talking to those people that werent there for you and do nothing to help make you better in life.

Tell your biological grandmother, if she was so concerned with your upbringing costs, then why did she allow you to be fostered. Actually just tell her to fuckoff, and move on with YOUR life.

To hell with your biological grandmother. She is a user and a freeloader. YOU get to determine who and what you are and what you become. Being fortunate and loved and raised by a good family does not mean that you got everything for free and handed to you. Plenty of people who were born with everything have made nothing of themselves and become festering pustules in our society. The only thing that you have been "given"is an oppoertunity. Use it to be your best self, and make yourself even better by helping others less fortunate - but not freeloading lazy users.

Short and to the point...
When you get a big Mac,, it comes all wrapped up in a paper wr**er.. you unwrap it and for good or ill- eat your meal.. if you decide you don't like big Macs , you never have to buy another... And then without much more thought about it- you throw away the wrapper..
Your tie to the family, is the wrapper... Throw it away.......
Myself,, I like tuna fish sandwiches.
