Listen you've got a g*ft that billionaires would give their fortunes for, you're 19 yrs old. You've always got options. I was going to say get rid of that boyfriend and get another one but then realized he has a good point. You'd be insane to enslave yourselves that way on the eve of what could be the freest, funnest decade of your life. Get a nice pack and hit the road, do a little research and you'll find that you can travel very cheaply. Do the hostel thing, meet some really cool, intelligent people. I had 4 children of my own, the first at 24, my head wasn't in the game because I still thought I could be me, but you really got to be all in to be a good parent, put yourself on the back burner and if one parent isn't all-in the other one takes the slack and that one, sad to say is usually the woman. So slow down, you're mom will live. Get her a puppy.
So, I like the comment above. I ended up running away. I have to add that my parents were Seventh Day Adventists so the religious thing was very big growing up. I ran off with a bad guy who liked girls for only one thing and he would never amount to anything with his liberal arts degree. I was 19. We went west and then east, he took me places I had never seen, I kept house in motel rooms and dive apartments, your the woman so you have those things to do I did them and I never complained. The children came and you have a new life, with kids he had to settle down and got a job with the State, I walked a new life but in the end I walked the life my parents wanted for me, to be married, have kids and be a good wife and mother, be active in my church, not he same church as my parents, but still active in church. All you have to do is meet the right man and you will follow.
