I am forty and I am in an extramarital relationship. I got involved with him in my mid twenties and he was in his late forties. He was bored at home and I was his way of bringing excitement back into his life. I am in this on my own, I love him and so you are the mistress. He is on medication for BP and he hurt his back and is on pain treatment. So he has ED really bad and nothing works, his Dr. says the pain meds are probably the cause. I love him and I can't help him and he is so frustrated. I have to be strong and wear my big girl panties and just love him and reassure him. I really don't care if we can't have sex anymore, I am going to stand by my man regardless.

I also have to look after his wife, I am praying that she goes into remission but her cancer took everything out of her. I have never been so close to how bad cancer is and the treatments. I pray for her everyday. She needs me right now, and he needs my help. Sometimes it is better for women to take care of women. I took a ninety day leave to look after her and take her to her chemo and sit with her.

I am just out of energy, I hold myself up, I want him to be proud of me. I want her to get well and stop being sick.

I am sorry, I just need to cry, I don't want her to die.

You are going well beyond what 99.9% of people would do, what you're doing is remarkable.

Don't forget to take care of yourself as well, most caregivers forget that...

Hope things work out what is best for everyone. Sometimes it's best for people not to suffer anymore, but that's in God's hands...

Your devotion to this gentleman and his ailing wife is almost out of this world.
However,I don't approve of the compulsion you have developed to feel proud of yourself.
You ARE an extraordinary woman and this is what happens when one has to look after an ailing person. They literally drain the energy from you.At times I feel that the ill subsist, unknown to themselves,on our soul energy( electromagnetic field energy around us) to get back what they are losing fast. If you can rest a while,do that to recover the energy used, both physical and emotional, while looking after them. Breathe deeply with inhalation and exhalation being equal.Don't think much about what is happening. You have control only over your efforts but not over the consequences.

You can't do much if life wants to leave her.Hence, don't feel disheartened if she succumbs.
Just KNOW that you have done EVERYTHING you could. You don't owe her or him more than this.Certain factors are beyond our control.

Kudos to your dedication to this gentleman, again, despite his ED and being married.
