I was a young wife, barely 18 when my husband took a job and we moved across country to California. In an apartment building not far from campus the man next door got into our apartment when I was alone and took me. When my husband returned I told him, he went next door and tossed the man off the balcony. My husband was incarcerated.

I was 18 and all alone. I needed support, I started to rent myself to men who wanted to be with a young woman. I did it quietly, and by word of mouth. I supported myself during my husband's incarceration until he was released on parole. During that time I had told my husband that I was working as a sales clerk for a retail company. That part was true, but what I never told him is how I paid the rent. By the time he was released I was 23 and I was much more experienced and had a following and I traded off with other girls to keep our clients happy.

My husband came back and he insisted on sex every night. It was hard for me to get away to take care of my customers, and I was having to pass regulars off to some of the other girls. But the truth was that I no longer wanted to have sex with my husband. Free doesn't pay the bills.

So several months after he was released I filed for divorce and dedicated myself to my business.

It's wise to divorce when that is what you want but...
renting your ass has many pitfalls. You are urged to consider what they might be.
