My husband won't eat unless food is prepared for him. He was home today and had plenty around to eat that didn't require preparation but he didn't eat! Then proceeded (after dinner) to bitch about having a headache from not eating enough. I suggested he have something else to eat, he didn't want it if he had to get it. He never was like this. Why after 7 years of marriage would he decide he can't take care of himself? I have never been one to wait on him. I don't understand it.

Oh just for the record he got up and finally had a bowl of cereal when he realized I wasn't going to get it for him.

more sex from me isn't the problem...maybe if he would want to have more sex I'd be willing to prepare food for him when ever he wanted me to.

I wonder if your weight in relation to your height might be the problem with him not wanting sex? I would rather use a hand or one of the many male sex toys then a flabby ole fat gal and I believe I'm a typical male. I have no problem cooking, washing floors, or even doing both mine and my part-time girlfriends laundry.

I think there's real problem here.
How old is your husband?
Behavioral changes of his sort are usually indicative of a serious and possibly organic mental problem developing.
Take him to a doctor soon.

I agree with the last poster. It seems odd that he was exibit this type of behavior out of the blue. Keep an eye on him for other signs that he might have a chemical imbalance, such as not keeping himself clean, sleeping more, loss of interest in the things he likes to do, etc.

I'm one of the few wives that would still give the husband a blow job, he doesn't want one. Go figure.

I know the syptoms of depression having been there myself and thankfully way beyond it. Alzheimers and mental illness runs in his family so trust me I'm watching. In the past I've made appointments with the doctor for him he's cancelled, he's told me he doesn't need to go when he got there and I'm out the money for not giving 24 hour cancel notice.

I told him I had enough that I help those who help themselves. My solution: I stopped preparing meals. I'd would not do a damned thing for him until he said what's for dinner and I said I don't know what you are having but I am having "x" and you can what ever you desire. It took only a few days of me preparing a meal for one and when he asked me why I was being a bitch my response I asked him when he became an infant. I told him he could shape up or ship out and if it is medical he's going to a doctor or I'm leaving. Strange how he suddenly became the indepentdant person I met all those years ago. I told him I don't play games and if he is really "sick"(physical or mental) I will take care of him otherwise this is a partnership 50/50. He never did tell me why he suddenly lost his ability to function on his own but I think that it was a conscience decision to be a shit.

I know he's going through a lot right now taking care of elderly relatives finacial affairs and if would have come straight out and said "I need some one to take care of me for a few days" I would have bent over backwards to take care of him otherwise he was just being a shit.

sorry this is so long folks.

He sounds like my stepson. As long as there is someone to fetch and carry for him he is a lazy bastard and does absolutely nothing. He spends all of his money clubbing at the weekends and then complains that he has no money to buy new tyres for his car? He also thinks that the world is against him. Sound familiar?

Sounds like someone is putting thoughts in his head, or have you heard of the seven year itch.
