She is very dirty. Very uncivilized.
She comes between my married life.
I from the bottom of my heart honestly pray to god , that Please give me a brek for life time from HER.

I do not mean any bad or wrong or unfair, but I want to live an enjoy my married and family life now I have had enough of her. Please listen to my prayer

If you want to know what your wife will look/be like in about 30 years, look at her mother.

Ok, you've been blessed. As for the mother in law; she prayed too and so now is also blessed so get used to her as she too will be around for a long long time.

My mother-in-law doesn't interfere in our marriage, but she can be a real pain in the ass sometimes. She makes racist remarks occasionally. She puts down everything we do, saying how we could've done it better. She tends to say really stupid things, right at the exact wrong moment. I could go on and on.

You have my total sympathy. My mother had gone out of her way to make my married life a living hell. When my dad was alive, she made his life hell, too! She'd keep taking shots at my wife, because she had divorced her first husband (who had cheated on her, by the way), trying to look like Mrs. self-righteous. On top of that, she'd have screaming fits in public, which was unbearably embarrassing. And does she know how to press our buttons! The problem was, my mother is not only elderly and infirmed with arthritis, she is suffering from mental illness (No!). I had felt I was obligated to take care of her, which made me feel tied to her apron strings. In time, I came to realize, my number one loyalty is to my wife, even if that means my mom has to get the short end of the stick. Things have gotten better with my mom now, that my wife and I have since made her a grandma.

I've been married for 18 years. After ten years of snide remarks, under-handed put downs, and just general dislike for me, I made a decision to keep the husband, but divorce his family. I've been "in-law" free for the past 8 years and loving every minute of it! I ecourage him to visit his mother (she lives out of state, but only an hour and a half drive) and take out kids too, so tshe can't say I'm keeping the grand kids from her. They spend the day, I get a day off and everyone is happy. She NEVER comes here, which is great and I never have to get stressed out being around her or his siblings. So far, it's worked well.

449, what a lucky lady you are. I have been married to my hubby for 20 yrs. If I am lucky I only see my inlaws once a year. They hardly ever visit us. We go to see them every Thanksgiving. I quit giving up my Christmas a long time ago. I go visit my mother in law for my hubby and no one else. The rest of them could go straight to hell for all I care. He knows that once his mom dies I will never go visit them again. Her funeral will be my last visit to any of those assholes. I don't really care for her but like I said I go visit her once a year for my hubby for 2 days. It's not such a big sacrifice to make. He doesnt really ask much else of me. I do wish I had put my foot down a long time ago like you and decided to be inlaw free. Sure would have saved us alot of fights. All though I am sure that would not have stopped any of them from begging from us any less than they already have. I got the only decent one out of her 7 kids. Believe me there is no love lost between me and his sibs.
