Ten years ago I was pulled over by a cop for speeding. I was doing 39mph in a 45mph zone. I pointed this out to the cop who wrote me up as doing 69mph and when I refused to sign the ticket, my legal right, he yanked me out of the car and proceeded to systematically put me in the hospital. He lied to the back up that arrived and told them that I had attacked him and went for his gun. They all laughed at me and said I'm lucky I hadn't tried that with them because I'd be dead. I was charged with battery of a police officer, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, fleeing and eluding and driving without a license plate (after they removed my license plate and disposed of it). I spent the next several weeks handcuffed to a bed in the hospital where I was arraigned. The jury found me guilty on all counts because the cops all testified that they witnessed me doing those things despite the fact that none arrived until after I was handcuffed bloody and beaten up in the back of a cruiser. The judge who refused to recuse himself had just the month before lost his brother who was a cop and had been shot to death by a suspect. He was out for blood and sentenced me to the maximum and made it all consecutive. I ended up being sentenced to forty one years with no credit for time served.

While in jail awaiting trial (they refused to grant bail due to the victims being cops) my wife filed for divorce and not only did I lose custody of my children but I was denied all future visitation and banned from having any contact. My parents and only sibling, my sister all died while I was in prison and I never got to visit any of them so I never saw any family ever again.

15 years into my case my sentence was commuted to time served. It turned out that I was sentenced outside of the normal guidelines and so I was illegally sentenced. I should have been sentenced concurrently since they all came from the same incident. So I should have been sentenced to the ten years and eligible for parole after five. But the new judge didn't want me to sue them for serving ten more than I was sentenced to so I was commuted to time served which meant that was actually my new total sentence. I was released the next day.

I hired an attorney to look into seeing what I could do. Turns out not much.

So as an ex con it's really hard to get a job. So I did what I could. I struggled for a few years. As fate will have it, my luck turned around. All it cost me was a dollar. I won fifty million dollars playing the lottery. After paying taxes and taking the lump sum I ended up with about 14 million dollars.

My kids had all grown by then. I had no idea where they were. They had moved away and could not be located in the town we had lived in. My ex wife who didn't stand by me could go fuck herself for all I cared. But with my new money I hired a private investigator and learned that my oldest was a sheriffs deputy a thousand miles away in Texas. My middle child was a nurse in Chicago and my youngest was in college studying law. I wrote them all but they declined to respond. This fueled my anger all the more. I wasn't mad at them. They must have spent their whole lives thinking their dad was some sort of a bad criminal and didn't want anything to do with such a person. The problem is that I'm not the person they think I am.

So my private investigators tracked down all the cops involved in my case. It turns out that a lot of the "criminals" they put away experienced similar circumstances. They had connections to that judge whose brother was a cop and was killed so every time one of their cases came up they got it steered to that judge. That is illegal.

My investigators found 127 cases like mine where the defendants had all been arrested by one of these cops, claimed innocence and the cops all arrived after the facts and claimed to be witnesses. We 128 minus seven who died in prison pooled our resources. I was by far the one with the most resources but after taking our case to a sympathetic law firm we found we had a very good case or rather cases. It took a few years but we got our revenge. We were offered a settlement by the state and each of us got a quarter million dollars for each year we did time. My cut was 3.75 million added to the money I already had put me in a very good financial position. The state also agreed to pay court costs and attorney fees.

As for those cops. They all lost their jobs. Every single one of their cases was reviewed and every case where there was nobody but one of those specific cops as witness, without any thing to back up their claims, all those cases were dismissed. They defendants all got compensation and freedom. But best of all, the cops in question all got life sentences with ZERO chance of parole. Their families have for the most part abandoned them and one was found dead in his cell of an apparent "suicide."

My typing skills leave much to be desired. The "10" at the beginning should read "20"

I don't know weather to believe this or not. Sounds almost like a Lifetime Cannel, movie. It could be some really creative writing, "But", then again, truth is stranger than fiction. I've had some pretty bizarre things to happen to me in my life that were so twisted, they were hard to believe also. I've told a couple of stories about things that have happened to me to friends, and they look at me like, "Are you serious"? That story would actually make a good movie. Thus more income. Think, Shawshank Redemption.

I've certainly heard plenty of similar stories, but usually without any possibility of getting revenge.

> To #2 I don't know what a Lifetime Cannel movie is. I left out a lot of things to make it fit here. You'd be surprised at how many people are behind bars in the United States who really are innocent. I ended up working in the prison law library. Except for murder trials, public defenders have 25 times the case load of private practice criminal defense attorneys. They are under a lot of pressure to convince their clients to plead guilty. They are usually given a total of one hour to work on each client's case and usually have only two hours of staff time per client. A private practice attorney usually devotes hundreds of hours per staff time per client's case. Private practice attorney's usually make five times and more than what a public defender makes and most public defenders are in their first legal job and often have less than a year of experience. Basically, all low income criminal defendants are screwed. 97% of all felony cases not involving murder are plea agreements. Only 3% ever go to trial. 20% of all prison inmates are not actually guilty of any crime at all. 70% of all prison inmates are over convicted. In other words, they are guilty of a real offense but they are convicted of a more extreme offense. For example, they might be caught with one joint in their pocket. But the police pad the charges. They throw in resisting arrest, assault on a police officer, posession of drug paraphanelia, obstruction of justice, driving under the influence and then they throw in some out right lies and before they know it they are charged with 100 years worth of felonies most of which they didn't actually do. Then their public defender will get half the charges dropped and make it seemed like they did a big favor to the defendant so instead of getting a misdomeaner charge that they would have gotten one year of probation for they have five felonies that they are sentenced to twenty years for and maybe get out "early" after doing seven years. In my state 12% of the population has a felony conviction. None will ever get their civil rights back so that means none can ever vote again and are excluded from 90% of all jobs and 99% of all apartments. they will never be able to buy a condo, mobile home or HOA home. At any given time 5% of the total population is in jail or prison serving time. That is 100 times more than in the People's Republic of China and 25 times more than north Korea by percentage. The United States has more people serving time in prison than ANY other country in the world including the People's Republic of China, Russia, North Korea and the next 10 most convicted nations COMBINED! It isn't because a higher percentage of the population are criminals. It's because the U.S. has a big prison business. The Federal government gives state prison systems about a hundred thousand dollars per year per prisoner when the actual cost of incarceration is about half of that. Imagine what they do with the rest of that profit. There are several towns in my state that derive 100% of their revenue from fining people who make the mistake of driving through their town. The speed limit is 1 mph. Their are no signs announcing that. It is posted in a file cabinet in the town hall that all roads have a speed limit of 1 mph. The fine is $125 per mile per hour over the speed limit for non residents and 5 cents per mile per hour over the speed limit for residents who are all assumed to be guilty and fined $25 per year each. So if you drive through the town at 25 mph, a very reasonable speed by most standards, you will be fined $3000. If you can't pay in cash to the traffic court within an hour they confiscate your vehicle and store it for $250 per day. They take you into custody and keep you in the town jail until you pay the fine. They will charge you $100 per day for the expense of keeping you in jail. I have heard there are people who have sat in their jail for years without the ability to pay and have racked up hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt and no way to ever pay it all off. Yes, this is in the south.

For all of the people that think cops can do no wrong, got news for ya, most are pathetic people. They are cops because they want to carry a gun and have power over people. I've never had a problem with a cop, but know plenty of people that have. Good decent people that had the bad luck to run into lying cops. I feel for you.
