I did a similar thing when I was in sixth grade (but it wasn't as embarrassing as yours...that made me laugh out loud!) Well, at that age, everyone's kind of afraid to talk about pussies and dicks and whatnot, so a lot of people would substitute the word "thing" when talking about them. I am a girl and I sat close to my best guy friend in math class. One day he put his hand on my binder and I jokingly told him to take his hand off...but I couldn't just say "Get your hand off my binder". I just screamed "GET YOUR HAND OFF MY THING!" I do not know why I said "thing" but I was really embarrassed...well, as embarrassed as an 11-year-old can get.
